You get one suitcase. One. For a week long trip. To Europe. What are you going to pack?
We don’t have two hours to waste staring at our closets and wondering what to pack, my friend. So what exactly can we fit into our suitcase for a European getaway, that is versatile, and also has that “European edge” to it?
Let’s start with how we can minimize the amount of clothing that we will need to pack by deciding on your color scheme. Personally, I like to stick to neutrals (black, gray, brown, white, and navy) because they are super easy to mix and match. Then, if you have a lot of clothes in a certain color, throw in a few pieces that will fit well with your main color scheme.
Here is what I packed on my trip to France that was super interchangeable and gave me a variety of outfit options.
- Black Jeans
- Blue Jeans
- Blue & Green Plaid Print Pants
- White & Black Striped Pants
- Gray Skirt
- Black Turtleneck sweater
- White Sweater
- White Turtleneck T-Shirt
- Navy & Yellow Blouse
- Leather Jacket
- Long-sleeved Denim Dress
- Red Dress (for a fancy night out)
- Sheer Black Tights
- Black Boots
- Black Heels
- White Sneakers
Need a visual? Here are some pictures of the outfits I created with these pieces.
I hope this has helped you to get an idea, or at least offer some inspiration for what to pack for a week in Europe. This is what I packed for a trip in the spring, but of course every season will require different pieces.
That’s why I created the Ultimate Travel Packing List for you. It includes everything you would ever need to pack, for any trip, to anywhere in the world! I also made a special section specifically for the items you would want to pack based on the season of where you are going. You can get this download completely FREE by filling out the form below.
