Travel Review: Flying AirFrance by Delta

Ahh airfare, one of the most stressful parts of planning any trip. Not only is it a large travel expense, but you also are trying to find the best flight times and dates. With all the pieces of the never ending airline puzzle floating around, how can you find the best airline, for the best price, that is the best quality?

*Drum roll please* Let me introduce you to AirFrance by Delta.

It all depends upon when you book your flight, but the prime time to get the lowest airfare is around 6 months out from when you want to travel. Creating flight watches on travel apps around this time will send you notifications for when prices are moving up and down. This will give you the confidence to book when the time is right.

For example: By following this strategy, when it was time for my boyfriend and I to book our flights for Paris, we got one heck of a deal! Nonstop from Minneapolis to Paris, roundtrip in comfort+, for $530 each on AirFrance.

Yes, you read that right!

I don’t think I’ve ever been given so much food on a flight in my life! For each flight on our way to Paris and back, there were special menus prepared.

On the way there we had: a main entree with options of seared rosemary chicken breast with truffle mashed potatoes, the Roasted Vegetable Ravioli (a vegetarian option), or the Thai chicken salad. We also had a pre-arrival meal of a continental breakfast box.

On the way back we had: an entree selection of honey glazed chicken breast with mashed potatoes, a vegetation option of tomato and mozzarella ravioli, or a chicken caesar salad. For the pre-arrival meal, we had the options of a warm croissant with turkey and cheese, or a four cheese pizza.

Aside for the food, we were given the standard long distance flight pillows and blankets. One thing that stood out to me, was that they also came around offering free headphones for each person to use to watch movies or listen to music on the screens they have in front of them. They also had another little free pack that included an eye mask, earplugs, a toothbrush, and toothpaste. It was a nice touch to make everyone feel as comfortable as one could be on a long plane ride.

Travel Experience

I had an incredible experience with AirFrance from start to finish. Both of my flights left and arrived on time which was a huge bonus for our experience. We were treated wonderfully by the flight attendants, and the services provided throughout the flight helped to make the long journey feel shorter.

Everyone’s experience will vary depending on a variety of factors. These could be from the weather, late arrivals or departures, etc. Always remember that if you plan on connecting to another flight or train upon arrival to give yourself a grace period of around 2-3 hours.

I highly recommend traveling with AirFrance for your future trips to Europe and beyond.
